About the Joy Church Movement
Joy Church Medford was founded on August 15, 1982 by Pastor Steve and Kim Schmelzer with the goal of building a strong, committed church family devoted to reaching the lost and a living a life of obedience to Jesus.
The journey began with just one family in a small storefront in Medford, Oregon. Today, Joy Church has grown into a thriving church planting movement.
Joy Church has expanded beyond Medford, with multiple locations in the Pacific Northwest, Illinois, Baja Mexico, and Nigeria!
